Weave

Weave is a glass artwork that I made for the Kulav exhibition where Lucie Haentjens also exhibited. Lucie is a textile artist with over 40 years of experience. She inspired me to make Weave.
I first painted the glass that I used for Weave in all kinds of colors, after which it visited the Kiln as a large plate. Then I sawed the plate into equal length pieces. After which all the pieces went back into the Kiln.
Then I took care of the shape by slumping the work.
After visiting the kiln 3 times, the final work was created. I have placed the pieces in such a way that a playful spectacle is created.
