Ostend by the sea

Ostend by the sea. My favorite city where I once lived in my younger years. Ostend was the inspiration for this piece of glass art. The sea expressed in layers of glass in front of the window. As soon as the sun or light shines through the work, I see the unimaginably beautiful skyscapes above the sea of Ostend.

The glass artwork is fused and then mounted in the aluminum frame. I sandblasting it afterwards because that results in the diffuse light I wanted.
